The St. Regis Singapore delivers freshly renovated old-school luxury steps from Orchard Road with exceptional spa facilities and nightly champagne sabrage for just 50,000 Marriott points.

The St. Regis Singapore just completed a full renovation in September 2024, about a month before my stay. Everything was brand new with that refined, classic luxury aesthetic St. Regis is known for.
Located steps from Orchard Road, this property sits in Singapore's premier shopping district. If you want Marina Bay views, you'll need to look elsewhere. But if you want convenient access to high-end retail with St. Regis service, this location works perfectly.
I booked using a Marriott Bonvoy Free Night Certificate from the Marriott Bonvoy Business card, topping up to 50,000 points total for a room selling at over $400. Thanks to elite status, I was upgraded to a newly renovated Penthouse Guest room.
The property maintains St. Regis traditions like the nightly champagne sabrage while offering modern amenities including an excellent spa open until 10 PM for hotel guests.
Here's my complete review of the newly renovated St. Regis Singapore.
I was welcomed into a newly renovated Penthouse Guest room with one king bed and garden view. Upgraded upon arrival thanks to Marriott Bonvoy elite status.

Upon entering, the motorized shades opened to reveal views facing the rear of the property with a top-level view of Johor Bahru in the distance, the Malaysian city on the other side of the island.
The room was incredibly spacious.
Right when you walk in was a foyer with a mini bar and water tap on top. This seems common with Asian hotels trying to reduce plastic bottle waste. Instead of bottled water, they gave you two cups and a filtered water spout.

Immediately to the left of the entryway was the bathroom. Fully decked out in marble with a very spacious shower, a less spacious toilet area, and a tub floating in the center of the bathroom. Two sinks and vanities.

The bathroom featured Sachajuan products. I didn't love the quality, but they were nice enough.

Moving into the main bedroom, there was ample closet space and a large desk with a phone.

A TV and couch sat across from the king bed. On either side of the bed was a control panel for lighting, blinds, and other room features.

A large chandelier hung in the center of the room..
The property is located in a great spot if you're looking to shop, though a bit further from the action in the Marina area. It's steps away from Orchard Road, convenient to many high-end shopping locations.

The property just underwent a full renovation completed in September 2024, about a month before my stay. Everything was new with that refined, old-school luxury feel.

The second floor housed most amenities. The pool area, fitness center, and spa.

The spa was open until 10 PM and available to hotel guests. It features a steam room, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, indoor rejuvenation pool, and heated relaxation chairs.

The lobby was spectacular with a large chandelier in the center as the main attraction.
Each evening around 6:30 PM for sunset, there's the traditional St. Regis Sabrage. This daily champagne celebration involves opening a champagne bottle with a knife and serving it to hotel guests, typically complimentary.
I only had a chance to check out breakfast at the hotel, served daily at Astor Grill on the first floor right behind the lobby.

The buffet was great with ample options to choose from. There's also a made-to-order menu included where you can order items like eggs and French toast.

I found the food to be very good. Both Western and Asian options on the menu, including Indian food which I found very enjoyable.

I booked this using a Marriott Bonvoy Free Night Certificate worth 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. I got this FNC through the Marriott Bonvoy Business credit card with a $125 annual fee, and topped it off with 15,000 Marriott points.
The room was selling for $406.28 or 50,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. Using my 35,000-point FNC and topping up with 15,000 points represented good value at 0.81 cents per point.
Considering I effectively bought the first 35,000-point FNC for just $125 as the annual fee for the card, then topped up with 15,000 points, this was likely even greater value than the 0.81 cents per point calculation suggests.
The St. Regis Singapore successfully balances classic luxury with modern updates after its recent renovation. Everything feels fresh and new while maintaining that refined, old-school elegance St. Regis properties are known for.
The Penthouse Guest room was spacious with thoughtful touches like motorized shades and bedside control panels. The marble bathroom with floating tub felt luxurious, though the Sachajuan products weren't my favorite. The filtered water spout instead of plastic bottles was a nice sustainable touch.
The spa facilities were exceptional and genuinely useful. Open until 10 PM with steam room, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, and indoor rejuvenation pool meant you could actually use them after a day of exploring Singapore. Many hotel spas close too early to be practical.
The nightly champagne sabrage at 6:30 PM is a fun St. Regis tradition that adds a special moment to each evening. Having complimentary champagne opened with a knife never gets old.
Breakfast at Astor Grill delivered with both Western and Asian options including Indian food. The made-to-order menu supplemented a solid buffet well.
The Orchard Road location works if shopping is your priority. It's further from Marina Bay action, but the convenience to high-end retail is unbeatable.
At 50,000 Marriott points using a Free Night Certificate topped up with 15,000 points, this represented solid value. Effectively paying $125 plus 15,000 points for a $406 room at a newly renovated St. Regis is hard to beat.
The St. Regis Singapore won't wow you with cutting-edge design or spectacular views, but it delivers consistent luxury in a convenient location with excellent amenities. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.
